VINCENT & THEO
Vincent Van Gogh day! At first, we went to l’Eglise Auvers-sur-Oise, one of Van Gogh’s painting scene. When I encountered this church, Van Gogh’s painting just pop up in my head. It was same! We visited cemetery of Van Gogh brothers. They are resting next to each other. Theo Van Gogh died just six months later of his Vincent Van Gogh’s death. I felt their brotherly affection. And we visited Auberge Ravoux. It’s known as the house of Vincent Van Gogh. He created more than 80 paintings and shooting himself in this house. He stayed in tiny room. I noticed big different sutuation from contemporary two Impressionists Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh.
We had a lunch at Le Saut du Loup in Musee des Arts Decoratifs after returning our rent car to Hertz Louvre. And We moved to Rose Bakery in Bon Marche.

NYMPHEAS
We went to Claude Monet’s house and garden at Giverny. There are two parts in this garden. Many kind of flowers in flower garden called Clos Normand in front of the house. So colorful! And there is a Japanese inspired water garden on the other side of the road. There is the famous water-lily pond. I felt like I’m just in front of Monet’s The Water Lilies painting at le musee de l’Orangerie. And There are some cute cafes and shops near Monet’s house. We had a lunch behind lavenders. My mom ordered Impressionism salad. 😀

LEE UFAN
My parents came to Paris, too. We rent a cute Fiat to go to suburb of Paris. At first, we went to Chateau de Versailles to see Korean artist, Lee Ufan exhibition in beautiful Versailles Garden. For the past several years, the palace invited contemporary artists to exhibit works in the garden. Ten works by Lee Ufan were installed in the garden. “L’ombre des etoiles” was my favorite piece. Shining white stones on the floor were awesome. His modern installations are in harmony with garden. If you have a plan to go there, take a map to see every works! Because it’s difficult to find them in this huge garden and some works are hidden.

LE QUATORZE JUILLET
It’s Le Quatorze Juillet, French National Day. We went to Saint-Honore again by Velib, public bicycle sharing system in Paris. Because we wanted go to & Other Stories, women clothes by H&M Group. It’s more expensive than H&M, but design and quality are better. And then we went to Maison Michel. I liked every hats there. So it was difficult to choose one. Suzy Menkes, Marc Jacob, Karl Lagerfeld, Anna Dello Russo, Tiffany Cooper, Alber Elbaz and Anna Wintour were on front row at Colette. This cute illustration is by Tiffany Cooper. Do you remember my post about Saint Honore? Spongebob was in the show window two days before. Colette changes show window once a week. So it’s fun to check every week. And we had a late lunch at Da Rosa.

SAINT HONORE
The weather was perfect to go out! We went to Saint Honore. At first, we were tempted by a good scent from Penhaligon’s perfume store. They offer hankies(not testing papers or strips) to public for perfume testing in front of store. We looked around all kind of perfume stuffs. But my friend bought two cute coin purses. The packaging for coin purses is simple and attractive. We had a lunch at Fuxia. The table was too hot because of strong sunshine. After lunch, we kept going to shop. Still many people at Colette! Spongebob by Jeremy Scott of Moschino were on display in show window. And finally, we are allowed to take pictures at Colette. This is effect of Instagram, isn’t it? But they are still strict for filming. I’d like to buy every plates at Astier de Villatte. But there is no space in my suitcase. And we had a chance to buy fifty percent off price at Balenciaga. After shopping, we had a coffee time at Costes Hotel, the beginning of lounge music.
